Turbo for 02 5.3 in a gmt400

Im tossing the idea around of boosting my 5.3 on a 1994 2500... has anybody done this as a complete turbo kit or do most just build their own setup? Ive found some kits on ebay but i keep seeing chinese turbos and id like to use garrett or holset.. any ideas or input?
