Oil pressure problems!!!!!!!

Ok here I go! I swaped a 6.0 to my 00sierra. When I started the truck and took it to get tunned my oil pressure was normal @40 or lil higher and when reved up it would jump to 60 or so. A couple of days after the tune my oil pressure started to drop when I would get to a stop sign or a light to about 20. So I thought that it was the oil pump so I swaped it to a melling 10296 with the stock replacement spring that comes with the pump. It's a high volume high pressure pump. I started the truck up a few days ago and the oil pressure at idel is about 30 sometimes 40 and when I rev it up it doesn't move. I also swaped the oil pressure sensor behind the intake and the cluster and still the same problem. What could it be? Any comments and help are highly appreciated thanks in advance!

have you changed the oil and filter?

Since you changed pumps, I assume you checked the o-ring or replaced it.

Yes I replaced it. It came with two and I swaped it with the one that was in the kit.

Did you use the supplied thicker oring of the two

Yes the one that was the same size as the stock one. I think the other one was thinner.

Cut the oil filter open and see if it has any surprises inside (bearing material).

Ok ill cut the filter today. What do I look for? Metal shavings or bigger pieces?
