Good luck man lol, the 05s show to be 28.5" not sure what the toyos are. I just don't think the look would be appealing with a 28 on an ext cab, but hell you can try it and change if you don't like it I guess. I have just been really pleased with the grip of the 05s. I have witnessed my truck for a bit and Mic ran them for a while in my same size. Hell they are still on his rears. They may not pass inspection but no threads showing lol. Mine have shown minimal wear and they have been roasted while takeoff a few times. I don't burn them down, but you get the drift. When cornering at higher speeds they feel secure as to why I guess the road racing little cars run them. Do yourself a favor and just get 20s ;-)

When I said going with the Toyos I meant stuffing the 31's in the rear, I plan on getting 4.11's anyways

I have thought about going 20's but I'm just worried about how much they would slow me down.

I guarantee they won't slow you anymore than a 31" tire would lol...to each his own though

I could maybe do 18's up front and 20's out back

Just did some quick math...it would be about an extra $65 to run 20's accounting tire price in. The 4 tires for the 18's are about $25 more expensive than the 4 tires for the 20's, the 20's themselves are about $90 more expensive for the pair (or $45 extra each).

so it does not cost that much to get the exact size tire you want after going to 20s, problem solved...
