    Servos and Shift Kits

I never see anyone on here posting about shift kits. I only see people posting some about servos. I called a transmission shop today which told me he would be backed up for about a month or two due to tax time people are fixing their broken down cars.. Well it was going to be about 500 which will go down to 400 if I wait to get a billet servos installed including the 4th along with a 90 dollar transgo shiftkit. My main question is: Is this worth it? Pros and Cons????

    Edit: 4l60e btw!

Sonnax billets are too much for a stock trans.

even when it has a shift kit, stall, and the line pressures are set to stock specs?

In my opinion, yes. I think its still too harsh in a daily driving application. I'm not saying it'll cause you to break stuff... but its a pretty violent shift if you ask me.

A shift kit is not to terribly difficult to install, although I have never done one on a 60E so I don't know if they are very different from the 200-R4 and TH350 that I have done. The servo however is fairly simple, just pop out the snap ring, pull everything out, then reinstall the new parts (make sure all your seals and o rings are facing the right way) and slide it back together, trans can even stay in the truck the entire time.
