Hope it all works out, but I dont think you would get him to buy you a new R&P.

You brought him parts that he didnt make a dime on, so warranty wont carry over.
It would be like bringing your own eggs and toast to dennys, if it sucked they wouldnt refund you.

I would check the ring bolts, and pinion nut, or better yet have him do it. If the wear mark is off then its his bad and his fault. If something straight broke then its up in the air.

Yeah, definitely, but I'm almost positive it has everything to do with his install. Like I said, I don't know ANYTHING about setting up rear-ends, but all I remember him checking was the pattern with the yellow paint stuff, and something that measured out .08? But that's it... Isn't there more?

I hope you meant eight thousandths and not eight hundredths.

Other than the wear pattern and proper lash, I think it comes down to, is everything tight?

I set up my USA 4.10's 10K miles ago and no trouble I would go back for sure and make sure he has the proper pinion preload aswell.

Most sports require one ball, motocross requires two.

Racing isn't a matter of life and death, it's much more important than that.
