    I think it was his install too, but I just wanted you all to give your opinion so I'd have something to help back me up when I go knocking on his door asking for my $300 back...

    now dont get me wrong parts do fail, nothing is perfect a good picture of the wear pattern will identify the issues or issue at hand

    Hope it all works out, but I dont think you would get him to buy you a new R&P.

    You brought him parts that he didnt make a dime on, so warranty wont carry over.
    It would be like bringing your own eggs and toast to dennys, if it sucked they wouldnt refund you.

    I would check the ring bolts, and pinion nut, or better yet have him do it. If the wear mark is off then its his bad and his fault. If something straight broke then its up in the air.
