I called efi engine supply yesterday and got a quote of 1700 for a lq9 with 75000. So I would say that's a good deal.
the place im getting it from got 2 commin in both 1000 he just dont know the mils on the other one
I'd get it!
Yeah I can get one from LKQ at cost through our shop and for a 09+ 6.0 it's like $1000-1200 so I'd say good deal
its paid for now just gotta wait till i get off ta go get it on the 31st
Also, with only 70k on the odometer (as long as it is proven mileage and not something they made up), the LQ9 (or just about any LS motor) is just about broken in. Unless there is an obvious reason to rebuild, I wouldn't touch it. If you are going to do any work to it (cam, etc.) before isntallation, then check things out. I'd be really surprised if you found any significant wear. At the very least you could also pop the valve covers and see how much sludge is in there incase the previous owner never changed oil or something. If you trust the company (person) you bought it from, you should be golden.

well the motor is comming out of a wrecked short bus they say its a LQ9 did the LQ9s come in buses to it has the aluminum heads
I don't know "shortbus" history, but I'd guess it's actually an LQ4. They both have the same 317 aluminum heads, except in 99 when they were still iron and the crank was longer behind the block.
What year is this engine supposedly? And is it just the longblock, or with accessories and harness? Either way, if engine is good (and not a 99), I'd say $1k was a good deal.
Shralp' it heavy.
