yes, they dont like any kind of detonation, they wont hold nitrous if you ever want to go that route and you better have your tune spot on or it will be detrimental. had a friend that lost a motor in less than 20 miles from losing spark in a cylinder. IMO id sell them and get some forged and save the headache

Thanks for the heads up on the pistons man. I will definately look into a set of forged pistons.

One more question. So the injectors and fuel rails are a direct drop in? Just need a tune to run them? or will it just run rich in the meantime?

I looked into the 90mm TB from Edelbrock. Looks like a good product, are there any other manufactuerers you would recommend for a 90mm cable TB?

Also, what is the size of the stock 2000 5.3 throttle body?

Nick williams makes a really nice 90mm theres some other brands around like fast. For the injectors you may need to change injector pig tails someone else may want to chime in on that

Your 2000 has a return style fuel rail and the NNSB does not.

So all you can use is the injectors and intake maifold

X2 on the nick Williams tb. I would go with that. You may want to get larger injectors, and you will need to upgrade your fuel system to feed the motor with e85. What are your goals??
