Got the engine on a pallet today, and put her up for sale. When I sell it I can buy some more parts I need for my ls1. All the extra wires behind the fuse box are for all the aftermarket lighting on the truck, off road lights, underbodys, led's.

Good luck with it! Should be very fun to drive when done.

Most sports require one ball, motocross requires two.

Racing isn't a matter of life and death, it's much more important than that.

Today I did some cleaning of the engine bay, 409 on the painted parts and Purple power and a scrub brush on the frame and suspension. I'm gonna repaint the whole engine bay the color of the truck, and clearcoat it a few times to really get it to pop.

I got my wiring harness finally off ebay, Its out of a 33,000 mile trans am. It is immaculate condition, and I also got the computer out of the car as well.

I'm curious, why not just use a 5.3 Colorado harness and PCM?

+1, Good point. Would be a lot less hassle.

The 09-up Colorado uses an E67 ECU to run the V8's, and is mostly dependent on the CAN system for communications. It is also meant for a 58x engine, and won't run the 24x LS1.
The problem you run in to with running the LS1 style computer on a Colorado is that the cluster will do some silly things, like add on extra mileage to the odometer randomly. They are kinda finicky.
