connecting vette filter to stock tank

how do i connect it to the factory lines coming off the tank?
do they make fittings that will connect to the factory lines/fittings?
do i have to cut the factory lines & flare them or use compression fittings?

my truck is a 96 & i have the vette filter with the quick connect AN fittings on it.
i know i'll have to make some lines, just not sure how to connect them to the factory hard line going to the tank.

What fittings do you have on your tank? Pics? Some pumps have the same fittings as the Corvette filter, others are screwed onto the pump. You can use compression fittings on the 5/16 and 3/8" lines with a -6 AN fitting. I've used simple fuel injection hose available in 1' sections at Autozone or Oriellys to do a few trucks.

i'll have to take some pics tomorrow. it has the feed line that goes into the factory truck filter then up a little closer to the motor the return line. i didn't know if they had fittings or adapters to screw into the factory fittings or if i have to cut them back & use fittings like these, http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-5-16-tube-...#ht_500wt_1180
& make a line to go from there to the vette filter.

Those work great. You'll need one 5/16 and one 3/8" and then all the 3/8 hose and four female -6 AN ends to go to all four of the fittings. Oh yeah, need one 3/8" compression x -6 AN and two more -6AN female hose connections for the output side, too.

no fittings to connect to the factory fittings out there?

There may be some adapters. Keep looking once you measure the size. Most people just cut the ends off the lines and go from there.
