might need to retrofit an 88-98 brake switch to it. The whole purpose of that lead is to kill the power to the transmission upon braking, this will unlock the torque convertor.

the torque converter lockup is controlled by tps and mph as well. we've done a lot of conversions and never really needed that wire.
the converter locks and unlocks just like it should.
that's just my experience.
