Your slow reaction times are just because you're putting the foot to the floor too late. I mat the pedal when the 2nd yellow lights up. You can check out the timing configurations online, it's something like .2 seconds between yellows so if your ideal reaction time is .5 and you're hitting 1.0, go on the second light and you should have a .6 reaction time.

I think the NHRA rules are supposed to be changing the timing devices so that a perfect light is a 0.0 not a 0.500. You'll have to ask at your local track how they measure.

I know, but what I'm getting at is I'm being lazy coming outta the hole, it's kinda hard to cut a light when your easing into the throttle. I can cut a light trust me, I just wasn't concerned with it, more concerned with traction, know what I mean

Yeah, I know what you mean. When I mat it I spin the tires off the line, making for a bad 60' time. I can't wait to try the slicks at the track.

Thanks, No I don't know Cornbread & Cupcake. Most of the guys I know are Burk Boys are thay from Burk?
Thanks GMC. My 60' has alot of room for improvement, since I can't stall it up or even let it flash, I have to sorta roll outta the hole, hence the 1 sec. R/T's. I can't wait to try it with some slicks & my 3.73's.

I know of Bill but don't know him personally. I haven't heard anything about him in a while, he must be hibernating.

Ya he had one bad truck. One night he was out cruising Kemp in it and a ford lightning tried to challenge him. LOL ya right that ford boy had no clue what was next to him. LOL Ya it has been almost 5yrs since I lived there. Still pop in once and a while and catch a few runs out at the track before I have to head back south.

what psi were you running on those proxies. i had problems stomping it to the floor until i dropped the pressure to 22psi. now i can stall it to about 1400 and stomp it to the floor with minimal spin with a 2600 stall. at 32psi i couldnt get traction with the factory stall

just drop the psi 3-5 psi per run until you find where the tire likes to bite.

I started out at 25psi then went to 20psi which helped some but I was afraid to go any lower for fear of damaging the tires.
