    DIY Wiring Harness Info

Found this on a another site and figured it would be pretty helpful to some guys here

    http://lt1swap.com/2004vortec_pcm.htm

looks pretty straight forward. im probably going to order a new harness so ill try to modify my old one just for fun and see if it works! from what i see there are 8 wires that need to go to an external source. im guessing you just splice these into the stock harness or to an external power source?

correct me if im wrong please:
    blue plug
    19 -ignition
    20-12v+
33-TCC Brake Switch/Cruise Control Release Switch Signal ???? <--what is this?
    57-12v+
    58-Class 2 Serial Data??? <--what is this?
    75-Off/Run/Crank Voltage ??? <--what is this?

    Green

    9-ignition? fuel pump?
10- Engine Speed Signal ??? <--where does this go?
46- Check Engine LIght Control ???<--where does this?
50-Vehicle Speed Signal OUT 4k/mile?? <--where does this go?

i have a 96 2 door tahoe with 4wd. im doing a lm7 swap right now. also anyone know where i can order replacement plugs. some of the connectors on the harness broke when i was taking them off.

Are you planning to run both computers, or do away with the one from the 96?

Street and Performance has been doing this conversion method for decades. It works.

oh ok...well as far as a/c im probably going to either use the tbi a/c compressor or a sanden. just want to see which one will be more cost effectie since they do the same thing. i found the sanden on jegs for 179 and the tbi a/c for 169.
