hey folks.. been away fro a while..
took time away from BLOO cuz i needed to stabilize a few things.. wifey got a new job.. had dental work.. was traveling tons for work etc etc etc...
    i bought a challenger for a daily driver.. v6 model...all black
    however.. today..
DAMN! went out.. jumped BLOOO off the chally.. she started.. went for a ride for like 30 minutes.. got 14.2-14.5 volts the whole ride.. she ran GREAT.. she had some flat spots on the tires.. but that worked out.. but.. i got home.. parked her.. she has very LITTLE juice in the battery.. tried to jump again.. wouldnt jump.. hopin the optima red is ok..

Need a xs power d3400 just sayin. Or a yellow top optima since you have extra power use. Deka intimidator is also a good choice.

Yellows stand up to high current draws better. Red is good for starting but not lights, stereos and fuel pumps etc.

Like he said if you are stock or just need to start red is fine otherwise get a yellow top.

optima are junk...they seem to not be able to withstand long periods of downtime. Ive had great luck with AC delco batterys. ive had times were it wasnt started in over a yr and fires right up with good juice

^^^^ Correct, any deep cycle battery (such as Optima) requires continuous use or needs to be on a trickle charge meant for deep cycle batteries.

I myself am not a fan of trickle chargers. One buddy lost a truck and another lost a camp and his Rhino.

Hell, my 04 still has the original AC Delco in it @ 137K on the clock.

Optima's are like Royal Purple. All hype, mediocre product, GREAT advertising.
