    newest toy.... silvy-caddy-pre-runner....

I have been wanting to build a pre runner for a while, but with all my other projects I decided to just buy one and have fun with it now. I have to drive 23 miles of the worst roads south TX has to get to the rig Im on, and Im tired of tearing up my new Dmax so this is my new work/ play truck...lol..

any way its a 03 silvy that was caddy clipped, with glass front fenders, and glass 08 rear bed sides. It needs a lot of TLC but it is a solid setup. The suspension is Camburg full long travel front with custom engine cage and bracing. Rear is a custom bed cage, deaver leaf springs with the 10 bolt braced with 4.56 gears and detroit locker. Truck has 5.3 and runs great. I went out to el paso to pick it up, and got 15 mpg on the way back at 80 mph so not too bad for 35-12.5 tires, and actually drives pretty good on the road... but off road... thats where she shines... in my Dmax I can't go over 10-15 mph on these roads w/o killing my self. Now, 80 mph and feels like a sand car with a/c and tunes...lol... have jumped it at least 6-8' off the ground and lands like my long travel rzr... Im really impressed with it. future plans are alum 5.7 with a TVS and 80e.

already stripped all the chrome strips and fake vents off...lol

ya, its tough and fun. Im not really worried how it looks, Im sure one day I will re do the bed sides, but for now its just a work truck and don't care how it looks. Its such a blast to drive, It just needs about 600 hp and it will be perfect...lol
