    Truck has 3.42s with a 6l80e and a LOOOOOOSE 3400 Circle D. Flashes to almost 4000.

    gears are your friend eiher way you look at it you'll need them, BUT like you mentioned you have to look at the weight of your truck, if your stall is that loose all BS a side that cam just might work for you.. dont be scared of rpm, 6000-65-67 would be a great pull in that truck..by the way a good dyno will tell the tale on whats needed !

    Haha. I'm a little ways off from getting it in. Still gathering a few parts. Honestly I'd spin it to 6700-6800 and that's it. I just can't afford to put two sets of gears in right now.

    only downfall to being 4x4 anything else is a plus.. youll be fine at that rpm its not like you stay in it all the time
