The other reason im going with leafs too is because I think the leaf on my passenger side is bent... it seems like the passenger side sits about half an inch lower in the back then the driver side.
I have heard good and bad things about drop leafs. Good is that they are easy. Bad is that you can pretty much kiss putting anything in the bed goodbye. If you think the leaf is bent, get a stock replacement leaf, or set of leafs, and do hangers and shcakles IMO. I guess I just couldnt take the possibility of not being able to use the bed or ever tow anything again....![]()

Towing is still an option with a stall just need to make sure and keep everything happy with a nice trans cooler. I agree with Trav on this one definitely don't like the idea of losing the purpose of the truck.

Last SAR race weekend i towed 1000 miles in my SSS with a 3600 stall. no problems. i had drop leafs one time and they whernt to bad. kinda bouncy but i couldnt even haul an atv without huge bottoming out issues. if your gonna spend the money replace the stock leaf and do shackles and hangers.
Slowest in Oklahoma...
Do a flip kit. You will be bottoming out on the frame with hangers and shackles. C notch is the way to go to not bottom out. A set of helper bags is a must and with them you can tow. I am going to sell a set of helper bags in a couple of weeks.
Don't forget a set of lower shocks. They are real important.
