My 99 Sierra ECSB Z71 has the limited slip locking differential. Rebuilt it about 2 years ago for around $200-250 which included all bearings and seals, lube, additive and new clutches. The clutches are probably gone in yours which is why you are unhappy with "your rearend". Or you just have fat girl" syndrome! haha
The clutches dont last long and i could only find them at the stealership for $125 for the set. World of difference once rebuilt. Got the ratcheting sound for the first week and then it all worn in and quiet as a mouse. The original problem i had was a bearing whining. It had been doing it for over a year so i broke down and just tore it apart one weekend. Drivers side support bearing was the culprit.

Checked the box it has the G80 option. Never realy drove the truck yet its a on the go project and was either gonna boost it or do a 450whp na motor setup.

I also noticed the front diff growl. Can you just change the bearings and seals and be done with it ?
