    Has anyone ever tried this?

Was discussing a twin turbo build on my 4.8L with a buddy other day, and we were wondering has anyone ever seen/tried a twin setup using shorty headers in a midmount style? Just never seen a setup like that, and was wondering if it had any benefits other than keeping heat outta engine bay.

would be the same as just a manifold flip kit, or you mean turbos next the the engine? low mount would still require oil pumps to return the oil. good luck on the build

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......

I would be worried about buying cheap shorty headers and them possibly cracking. Log style manifolds are more universal as well as flipping stock manifolds. Most kits you see already have made crossovers for logs/manifolds. Not many for shorty headers.

I currently have pacesetter shorties, n have decided to go turbo. I was thinking tryin to utilize them in the setup, but I am worried bout them blowing apart. And I wud need to get em cerama-coated. Pricing a piece-meal system I come out way cheaper. Summit has T04E-60 garrets for $200, intercooler runs about $325ish, oil pumps bout $175, piping n fittings n odds n ends who knows... Still have my stock manifolds to flip, but was just curious if I cud use the shorties or if anyone has ever seen it done b4.
Was just an idea I was kicking around, tryna b a lil different than the next guy

At least you can now know that it will hold up to 26lbs of boost at 1200hp and not come apart-well, according to Hot Rod magazine......

Believe nothing that I hear n only half of what I see. Lol. But these LS motors are stout!
Not gonna shoot for 1200hp or 26#of boost, but it is VERY tempting

I think there is a guy on here from time to time that did twins on a 4.8 and made great dyno runs with it.

Not sure what set-up he has now, goes by the name of Quick I believe.
