Ok, I just got this shift kit (Transgo and vette servos) in last week and have been making fine adjustments (with tuner's help) in the tune.

When at WOT or near WOT i hear a squeel immediatly after the 1-2 shift. My tuner say's it's not unusual and no harm is occurring. Something about the bands in the trans.?

Can anyone explain what is happening?
    Thanks

Maybe you need a longer 2nd gear band apply pin. Under hard acceleration, It should just bang into 2nd without noise if you have a shift kit with a corvette servo. Also, did you get a new valve body plate or drill out the old one to the specified sizes?

Mine squeals, but it is the engine belt not the trans. Accessories spinning much faster than the belt @ shift, and the belt slips. Don't know if that is the same as yours or not.

Oh, it bangs into second pretty well, it make the squeal as it finishes the shift like,.....1-2-bang, squeal. It's a short sequence of events.

Serp belt?....Could be it. Not much i can do about that, the belt (truck) is only 6500 miles old!

That sequence makes it sound like the belt to me (just like mine). They say a Gatorback belt fixes it, but it doesn't bother me enough to change it yet.

What if there was too much line pressure at near WOT?
Would that make a squeak sound? Problem?
    Thanks!
