and most ls1s are dbc so you would just need a longer throttle cable out of a newer silverado

you are going to have to get the ecu flashed to remove the VATS (security) out of the computer allen can do this and while hes in there get him to do a tune
not trying to thread jack, but do these require the transmission to be moved forward or back at all? im doing a similar swap and trying to avoid re-sizing drive shafts.

How close to the firewall, would all you guys say, your engine is? (I think the rear of the passenger cylinder head/valve cover, would be the closest point.) Thanks

Longtubes with a turbo are a bad idea. They dissipate heat faster than cast manifolds which is bad for boost.

STS systems don't rely so much on heat in the exhaust system. He can always wrap the pipes to hold heat in or have the headers coated inside and out.

This is true as well. I guess the fact that they are mounted so far back would make the heat issue irrelevant.

I read somewhere that there ar two types of motor mounts. One that keeps the engine at its current location but moves the transmission 1" foward and would require minor modification or the second option is that the engine would be moved back 1" back keeping the transmission in its current location. I personally like the second option since it would keep the weight more centered and should make the truck handle better.

Dirty dingo mounts are the best imo. They are adjustable and will go right into stock location
