    862's or 706's

Looking for a set of unmolested good condition 862 or 706 heads. Main reason for the need is fixing the exhaust leak from broken bolt during long tube install. Yes I already tried an extractor...got the other 2 bolts out...but it destroyed one bolt and ruined the hole. Only options I have are replace the heads, I'll probably have them milled and cleaned up, or drill a larger hole, re tap it and go through that bs which I don't want to deal with so swapping heads is ultimately easier .

Thought of doing a helicoil to repair the thread? There is also another thing you can use to repair it called a case-saver, you tap it to a much larger size and thread in a steel insert. Works great on really messed up areas. Volkswagen used it forever on the air cooled engines.

The thought has crossed my mind yes, but I don't trust myself to not mess up with a drill and punch through to a coolant passage or something like that. Is it likely that it will happen, no, but do I doubt myself when it comes to stuff like this...yes.

I figure if I can get a set of heads on there that will be "good enough" so I can get the tune lined out and get rid of the black soot out my tailpipe I will be very happy. And then I could send the heads I've got off for a full port job and the whole 9 yards and repair the bolt hole while it's there that would be amazing, gets me a little bump, and takes the headache away from me.
