As far as being able to afford it, I HAD a really good job with a real scum bag of a boss. Hence the had. I detail on the side during the summer, which makes some good cash money. And I have invested a decent chunk of cash that's just finally starting to come around (Ford's good for something). That and I live at home for free, and the truck's paid for.

Let see, I'm 28 and I've been wrenching since jeeze as long as I can remember. My dad had me helping him on his cars since I was at least 6ish if i recall...

I went from the basics to being Ford AAA certified mechanic, to a sprint car builder and crew chief. Dirt track racing is where my heart is at now (well for the past 8 years now), and modding the truck or riding/racing my quads keeps me busy during my free time.

Enjoy your 30's dudes, they go by too fast! :p

    41 in a couple days >.<

I was always fascinated with vehicles, but could only afford POS's for quite a few years LOL. I suppose my first "modding" experience was from my early teens to 18, helping my dad work on the family snowmobiles in the garage. Track studs, pipes, jetting and synching carbs, tuning clutches, greasing track bearings. Fun stuff!
