After having a 06 cummins, and it would run. It has alot more to do with how well its built, and how good the driver is. I out ran a few LS trucks, and a lighting...now i have high hopes in building my 4.8 into a street sleeper...
but still a 7600lb truck that runs low 13's is amazing and fun to watch...
Every Diesel I have run around here didn't have enough. My friend is building a Duramax that will probably smoke me, but the engine is fully built and the turbo is about the size of a football. Dam dodges won't leave me alone. A guy in a new truck came up on me and wanted me to race him? His truck was a SWB and all black with SRT truck wheels on it. I had the cutout open and he heard it, but still wanted to race? I let him go 3 car links ahead at wot and then I punched it! Passed him like he was standing still at WOT? I looked down and the speedo was buried. I never thought my truck would chirp the tires going into 4th gear but it did and pulled the rear to the right a little bit at wot! I did all this on a leaky turbo header as well. I can't wait to see what the new heads will do!

I ran this guy with a single cab cummins and his sounded pretty stout so I didnt think I was going to take him. So I fliped the cutout switch and got ready we ran from a 20mph roll and by the time I was at 90 i was a several lengths in front of him. He didnt run me again but did give me the thumbs up. OH! and his chick was in the car. How embarrassing it must have been to be beaten by a raggity truck like mine
