Well I found out that yes my bubble smoked cover does work. It works just like trying to take a picture in front of a window. And how did I find out for sure? The local PD stopped me and told me about it. They told me that on numerous occations a truck that looks just like mine was observed by the red-light camaras but the glare from the license cover prevented a clear picture. The numbers that are visable do match my plate. He gave me a warning about my license plate cover and said that it was illegal. I have had this cover for at least 7 years on three different trucks and now because we have red-light camaras, its illegal? Good thing he didn't look at the front of my truck. I haven't had a front license plate on a vehicle in 20 years.

The best and easiest solution is to stop speeding.

OK. The way the spray on coating works is that it is highly reflective and when the flash hits it, all the camera sees is bright white-sort of like the above mentioned cover-and because no one can see it, they cant tell youre using it.

For laser, all you need is a laser detector. You take a feed off the warning light and run it to a relay which operates a light on your bumper-a really high wattage light. But instead of a regular bulb, you use a bulb whose light frequency is just above visible wavelengths. The cop (or anyone else) wont see it, but the laser gun will and it will over ride the dinky signal it puts out. If the light is powerful enough, it will fry the light sensor in the laser gun. Make the light look like a fog light or something and no one will ever know.
