hah..I'm not sure if I could talk him into swaping out the small block..he doesn't really care that much about this one....I have a feeling I will building him a 6.0 or 6.2 for one of his other projects though

Well, bad news...found 2 small cracks in the front 2 main journals. I didn't see them till I pulled the bearings today. Time to hunt down a new block....the fun never ends..lol.

Well, we're back on track. I picked up a short block with 156k on it from Spaldings, a recycler on the other side of the state...lol. I've got a buddy picking it up for me, hopefully this weekend. They usually only deal with complete engines, so finding a shortblock that they didnt want to deal with was a score for me

Well...still here..lol. Progress has been slow. Still waiting on my short block to be delivered, a buddy picked it up, he just hasn't had a chance to get to this side of the state. I also picked up my 4l80, hopefully drop it off for rebuild in the next couple weeks. Hopefully, I'll be mocking everything up over the next week or so here to try and get something moving again..

    Thanks

I'm still here, plugging along. I finally got my short block. I'm gonna try to get it up on the stand and tear it down next week. I'm also picking up the entire dash, steering column and gauge cluster assembly from the '05 I pulled the original motor/wiring out of and sectioning it to fit in the Blazer, it will make wiring alot easier, and I'll have access to all the factory gauges, which will be nice.
