in stock config and well taken care of parts or etc will last

when in the hands of idiots or how can i say careless ppl is when they fail, they also fail cause of poor rebuilds, poor trans tuning, over heating trans, free reving of internals after a track pass, neutral drops, weak parts and etc.

Skeets has a 60e thats been put to hell and back....... know of a faster 60e in a truck?

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

thanks quik, its going on its 4th year and cant even guess the passes it has from the ecsb to the rcsb, one thing i learned is a balanced driveline, proper rear setup and keeping the trans fluid cool will help the life of the trans greatly..

now onto the 09 the wife drives 21k needed rebuilding, 43k another rebuild wonder at 65k if its gonna need a rebuild remember i said the wife drives it lol probably never even seen a full throttle punch !

How fast are we talking here? I think BlackX at s10forums.com has the official fastest 60e ever with a low 9 second pass.

    9.32@150 to be exact...

My bone stock 70e in my 08 lasted for two years of HARSH beating. I didn't cut it any slack and everyone that has ever ridden with me knows it. It lasted through 150 shot 4x4 launches for 40k miles before I wrecked the truck. No cooler, no servo, just tuning. I would venture to say that it would have lasted quite a while longer had I not wrecked it. The one in my 07 4.8 started getting sloppy at 30k miles. It's got 70k on it now, still sloppy as ever, but it's bone stock without a tune.

BlackX actually broke his lvl 7 FLT before he decided to tear the truck down for a monster build. He had a 370 with stock TRF 220 heads and a turbo. Now he's moved to a 408 and had the heads fully ported and moved up his turbo size. His truck weighted 4050 (yes a freaking S10 that heavy) because he raced it in full street trim with subs and everything. Now he's shooting for low 8s with some weight reduction and the new setup. I'm still working on my S10 build and am waiting on one freaking fuel fitting so I can button up the fuel lines and put my cab back on. She's getting an LS1 with 243 heads, an LS6 intake, mild cam and a stalled A4. I'm shooting for mid 11s as my truck shouldn't weight more than 3klbs.
