    SD Tune on the 408

    im asking cuz im stupid about this...
    should i get my next tune for the 408 updated to be SD?

    yes with atleast minimal single 4" air tube. the tubing in most CAIs will become a restriction for a healthy 4xx cube motor

    kiss it by if you want airflow. a good healthy motor requires as much as into it as possible or you will create a vaccum as rpms rise and lose KPA [lose power] ppl think you cna just toss in a motor without every partof the build that matches

    Quick Is correct ... That's where most gains are with sd tunes

    my 410 needs a single 5" tube, but decided to have a twin 4" built
    Simple: 408 on steroids!

    how big of a throttle body are you running? 4" tube should easily support a 102mm TB since they're both the same size, right?

    think about it this way...

    take a 1" diameter piece of house about 1" long and blow through it, very easy right?

    now take another 1" diameter hose and make it about 3' long and throw in a bend or two and blow through it again, not so easy huh?
