i personally dont like a motor that was in a fire. they usually spin a bearing after a few miles
    2002 Lightning - GT headed 5.5Litre w/ Twin 7665s
    2002 Silverado - 427Lsx w/ Twin gt4202s
    2010 Silverado crewcab Z71 - 5.3litre w/ procharger
    2000 Wrangler - 5.3litre with some stance
    2014 Xsport- 3.5 Eco boost
    412 Motorsports

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

I think i will pass on the engine, car parts has some with same mileage for like $350. The thing that scares me the most is dropping it in and it blowing smoke or ticking or something, and while it ws pot i could of rebuilt it easier. Who sells good rebuild kits for these motors?

I have yet to find a "rebuild kit" like you can find for a gen 1 sbc (aka master rebuild kit), probably so many different combinations of parts can be used for the Gen 3+.

Try here for decent amount of gen 3 parts. http://www.superchevyperformance.com/
