oh boy, here we go again. Don't tell anyone you had a nitrous backfire, just your little secret. Insurance won't cover a fire related to a nitrous fire, most likely. Shhhhhh....

thanks for your thoughts guys. i was on my way home from court this morning, and ranover what looked like a peice of exhaust tubeing. it came up the engine bay and dented the hood. my truck had been wreaked before so my latch was just grabing the end of the hood. i saw a little flame like from a lighter but couldn't get the hood open so i just watched it burn. it doesn't matter if it was a n2o backfire i only have liabilty my truck is paid for.

04 ecsb 5.3- perfectly tuned by Nelson perfomance, Pacesetter longtubes, 100 shot n2o from NX, cold air intake.
03 rcsb charbroiled (race truck eventually)

you don't have comprehensice insurance? You should contact your insurance agent and see what they say. Lots of people don't have full coverage but their policy does cover natural disasters and such.

That sucks. A lot. Reason one why the very first thing I added to my truck was a fire extinguisher.
