Thread: Hptuners worth it?

    what's the easiest DIY tuner software to use? i'm gonna get an econo tune in october after i get my srb payment and do get headers installed and a muffler swapped out, intake ducting, and port my tb. i was thinking of going with black bear

    If I am correct black bear is a tuner that uses either efi live or hptuners. And u have fanatics of both software. Around here weapon of choice is hptuners for the most part.

    Sorry to thread jack but is there anywhere to get it on the cheap I know used is always great but nothing is as great as new....... I know some places do it like 480 instead of 500 any place got it cheaper?

    sorry an actual copy of hptuners software and cable. Also any good reason to get pro over normal? I know you can lock the tunes(i don't care about this) and you can hook up other devices like widebands but are you not able to use a wideband at all with the normal version?

    The pro box has 0-5v inputs, you need these to hook in a wideband.

    I also wondered the same about the Pro vs. the Standard one. So I guess the Pro is the one to go with? http://www.nelsonperformance.com/ and Summit Racing also sell them.
