Is it alright to have the wastegate mounted to a flex coupler off the crossover, or should it be mounted directly to the crossover?

Well i removed spring so wastegate would open right away and still upwards of 15 pounds! does this mean i need a bigger gate than a 38?? How big should i go?

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference
could the gate be on backwards??

I have the gate mounted to a 4in flex coupler and its at about a 45 degree angle flowing with the exhaust. I have vented to atmosphere, and into DP and i get same results. Its a bone stock 6.0 with a turbosmart 38mm ultra gate, and a borg warner 76mm. Im gonna take the wastegate completly off tomarow and see if it still builds boost. I am running out of ideas.
