I thought that I should check in and say hello. I have a 2004 Yukon, 5.3L, 2/3 drop, and some 20's. It's not much(yet) but it is mine! I have a long list of To-Do's for it and from my research of your postings, you guys have your ducks in a row for sure! I look forward to any assistance I may receive or should the occassion arise, any I may be able to provide.

    To-Do List
*I have a luggage rack off of a Escalade(Chrome looks better than Black).
*I am looking for Running Boards off of a Escalade.
*I am looking for the Escalade thrid brake light.
*I am open to any ideas to increase performance, economically of course. My truck is stock.

If anyone knows where I can pick up the Escalade parts other than a dealership, please let me know.

As far as amount to spend... I know I need to replace the airbox lid and filter, and tune the computer, etc., just have no idea of what order to proceed with, or how much it will cost.

    Welcome

Parts and tunes all come in a wide variety of prices. It all depends on what quality of work you want done. If you can live with cheap quality it won't cost much. If you want first rate quality you'll have to part with quite a few more dollars. If you can do the labor you'll save a bundle.

I got quality tunes. My cosmetic upgrades beyond what I already listed include Escalade Vent Caps and a Cowl Hood. Performance wise....I know I should probably swap out the airbox and filter, and maybe some exhaust upgardes. My problem isnt that I cant do the work cause I can, it is that the last thing I drove before this was an 88 GMC Dually. Bottom line is I don't know much about modern day performance tips and tricks. I am open to any ideas for simple upgrades. I love forced air induction, but I am not ready to do that to my daily driver just yet. Would be happy to entertain anyones ideas of entry level, do it yourself performance upgrades.

I would start with all the simple "Free" upgrades then move to a set of long tube headers and a performance tune from NelsonPeformance.

Welcome aboard I agree with Red. There are all kinds of little things you can do that will add up and will make a good base to build on.
