I agree. After my e-fan conversion, I did a low budget "cold air" kit to go with my modified stock airbox. It seems to work well and only cost a fraction of any I have seen on Ebay or anywhere else.

12" section of 4" exhaust pipe, painted color of your choice
4" elbow
4" to 3.5" sleeve
4 hose clamps

I have thought of doing this with pvc piping and a cone filter being the only differences.

Also talk to the girlfriend about what she thought about the truck being loud. Apparently I was wrong and she likes loud trucks only thing is she says it doesn't look like it should be loud.............(to girlie?) I guess some exterior mods will have to come with the go fast save gas stuff hahaha I'm thinking maybe some 18's and slight drop and do some color match some stuff.

I might end up going a little crazy with this thing...... I mean its totally stock and has sooooo much potenial like any other LSX truck lol

i have a 01 rcsb 5.3 with 373 gears, all the bolt ons and im getting 18.5 - 19 on the highway and thats with a 3k stall in town mileage is only 13 or 14 though

Got 19.7 on the way home today. That's about a 230 mile hwy trip.

04 z71 w/ 3.73 gears and 33 on 20s I am getting about 9-10 mpgs what can i do to fix this mpgs were about the same with the factory rims and 285s
