You can put the chain on the sprocket to help take up some of the gap. Zip tie the slack chain to itself close to the sprocket to help hold it on.

Just use the same 3 jaw puller that you would pull the harmonic balancer off with..
autozone/advance should have two different 3 jaw pullers. One is a 1-2 ton and is only like 6 inches tall. The other is a 5 ton and is about 10 inches. I'm assuming ONE of them would work.

I have the bigger 3 jaw puller, works like a champ..
If youve got an air chisel it will vibrate it right off no problem, takes about 3 seconds.
