Ya, there are a few low end sets of rods only rated for 400 hp. It sux to see this happen. Whats the plan now? I bet u could find a 5.3 or 4.8 for pretty much free and throw it in there to beat on it for a bit... Just my .02Originally Posted by dropem

and, those rods are stock GM, maybe a good GM set, but GM.
well i def think thats what these are and it really pisses me off cause hes a pretty reputable engine builder and when i had him build it for a turbo motor and i told him i was trying to make 750 to the wheels on that setup. i am really glad i didnt touch that.
that motor made 384 N/A and i had been spraying a 250 shot on it and i guess that was just to much for those junky rods
