Use an Fbody/Camaro oil pan/windage tray/pickup tube assembly in 88-98 model trucks for the best clearance. With the engine in the normal location the 80e is no issue with clearance. Moving to the left could cause issue but nothing that can't be fixed with a saw and welder. A column mounted shift linkage could be tricky unless you do it via cable instead. Floor mounted would be straight forward other than twisting the lever to RH drive ergonomics.

cheers for the replies fella's. I wanted to avoid modifying the tunnel but i guess i will see how i go! As for the shift linkage set up i plan on running a cable instead of the way i have it now with the linkage set up anyways (will still retain column shift though). With the sumps is the stock f body one the one to get? i have a link provided to the stock one i think?

With the stock sump what is the depth of the pan it's self? have googled but cant find the answer!!
was looking at getting something like the moroso pan (link provided) that is 6" deep but not sure if it will sit lower than the crossmember!

anyways thanks for the help so far, appreiciate it!
