Around 3000 stall works very well with any low/mid cam. If the cam was designed to not need a stall it will feel just right.

I think I would just like to have a cam that would fit right in, so hopefuly Nelson can do that. As far as price, they all seem to be around the same give or take a few bucks. Any likes or dislikes for a company. Right now it is between Nelson Performance and Comp Cams. Looking around $800 as a kit but I asume I can get a custom for my truck and better advice from the NP. Thoughts?

And just for the record Nelson Performance is just a shop. Allen will just spec out and order your cam from whoever he deals with, it's not a "Nelson Cam" it'll be a Comp or EPS or whoever. I dealt with Pat G when I got mine spec'd out and EPS ground it.

You can save alot of money if you just look for good used stuff. If you are really wanting to not loose much on bottom end Id probably look for a used tr220 on a 112 for about $200. You can find used hardened pushrods for around $75 and then just get the patriot valve springs new. I found my cam brand new in the box but someone bought it years ago and never installed it. Got it for $250. Just got to look around. Check ls1 tech classifieds too.

I don't know how comfortable I am buying used pushrods. They'd probably be fine... but for just a little more money I'd buy new ones. But +1 on buying a used cam.
