    I hope you can. The fact that a simple bolt on LS motor will outrun that LT is going to be priceless.

    i totally agree is a better platform to work with. i went with the dated LTx because i got everything i needed for practically nothing. if i held out for a lq4/9, i wouldn't be driving my truck yet because i don't have a ton of extra funds to spend.
    this what i have, now its time to make the best of it.

    am i going to be able to match the power of a LSx? no
    can i still turn out some respectable power #s with a LT1? yes
    will 450+hp still give a big sh!t eating grin no matter what engine makes it? yeah and loads better than the 4.3 i had.
