It's too bad you don't like chrome because I think chrome on white trucks looks killer. If you want to go the matte black way get the wheels you want and have all the gray plastic turned matte black. I would make the Avalanche letters white when you did that so they stand out. You could also tint the tails or get black ones and black headlight covers and some dark window tint. You have to ask yourself, do you want your truck to resemble that rusty '95 Honda you saw at the mall with all the fake carbon stuff from Autozone and the chromed 5 gallon bucket for an exhaust tip? I really think the fake carbon is tacky. One of my buddies has an OBS F-150 that's white with a lot of blacked out stuff and it's pretty sharp.

Or you could color match the gray plastic and make it look like an Escalade?

Paint all the gray cladding white. There is one around here and it looks totally different. Very Nice.

Can you take the plastic trim off? Are there regular body panels underneath?

my truck looks like crap in the picture, the plastic is dark grey when it is clean. i have lowering coils for the rear but they are 4", the guy i bought them from said they were 2'', but the 2'' are on the way. winters get bad where im at and every thing chrome ive ever had has pitted bad, i take care of my rides and they stay in the garage. its hard to find something that looks good all year around. for the plastic, im getting all the avalanche emblems in white and all the recessed lines are getting white pin striping, i like the grey plastic. thanks for the input. looks like its a no go on the fiber after the ricer comment.

I love the looks of white and black together like another guy posted. On thought of the fuel door, i have a black one on my white truck and personaly love it. i agree on what someone said on blacking on the side molding that would change the looks big time. then black out the bow tie and get black z71 decals.
