I don't understand why people like to draw attention to their gas cap. Why would you want that to stand out?

I used to have one of those locking black powder coated ones. Matched my black wheels/rollbars pretty well. As long as it's not one of those chrome stickers all the 'gangstas' put on...I'm ok with it.

thanks for the input, no one is gonna hurt my feelings by telling me something is stupid. i had the only white/grey avalanche in town now their is another one. i have the stock wheels on my truck now and they are identical, im just looking for some exterior mods to make it not so cookie cutter plain jane just like the other million on the road. any ideas?, i have the $$ set aside and want to get something done before i find some other non truck related crap to spend my $$ on.

oh ya, im pretty sure the wheels in the pic are gonna be gone and replaced with matte black rockstars or ???, im not digging the bling plus i got them for next to nothing ($300 with tires), i was also throwing around the idea of flat black rbp tips, gas door, and ?? to go with the rockstars. my other reason for exterior mods is that a bunch of guys that i hang around with at the rod shop started a friday night cruise in and car club, they have nice rides = a sweet c10, 9 sec. javlin, 69 nova, 69 fire bird and camaro, ws6 ta, 02 ss z28, and a bunch of other bad cars and trucks and i have a stock lookin avalanche.

From the looks of the area, I guess lowering it is out of the question? I would put on some billet wheels. I white and a nice set of billet wheels looks killer, also you could have all the plastic on the body smoothed and painted to match that would look good too, well to me.

Use of real carbon fiber to make lighter parts can be cool. Fake carbon fiber stuck on top of other panels, never cool IMO.

It's too bad you don't like chrome because I think chrome on white trucks looks killer. If you want to go the matte black way get the wheels you want and have all the gray plastic turned matte black. I would make the Avalanche letters white when you did that so they stand out. You could also tint the tails or get black ones and black headlight covers and some dark window tint. You have to ask yourself, do you want your truck to resemble that rusty '95 Honda you saw at the mall with all the fake carbon stuff from Autozone and the chromed 5 gallon bucket for an exhaust tip? I really think the fake carbon is tacky. One of my buddies has an OBS F-150 that's white with a lot of blacked out stuff and it's pretty sharp.

Or you could color match the gray plastic and make it look like an Escalade?
