If the truck would move with a bad tc is a hard question, it kinda depends on how the tc brook. Another idea is there isn’t any ATF getting to the TC, If there wasn’t any ATF in the torque converter then it would just spin with out moving anything in the trans.

how much ATF have you put back into the truck since reinstalling the trans? did you prefill the TC before installing it? and is the TC completed seated all the way onto the shaft, you should of had to turn the TC a few times to get it to slide all the way on. just a few thoughts. the 4l60e's hold something like 16 quarts when bone dry. correct me if im wrong guys..

double check your TC and make sure its pushed all the way on the shaft. spin it while wiggling it to makesure its all the way on, it should like on and feel like its locking in about 3 times i believe, maybe 2, cant rightly remember. but double/tripple check, if its not pushed all the way on, and you finally get it to move, it will snap inside the pump where the TC goes. , 14-16 is correct. and make sure not to over torque the valve body, and make sure you have proper fluid in before putting in gear or youll risk burning the clutches

I'm thinking that if you removed a cooler line and it shot fluid out pump is working, however I know in the past year models they change input shaft depending on year and engine size, well if your 2000 input is smaller shaft than what that 04 converter has then its not going to move. Not sure if they changed input sizes on these models or not, haven't messed with trannys in years, just a thought

that is also a thought, the 4l60 and 4l65 have different length shafts now that i think of it. not sure if the shaft length on the 4l60 is year dependant. could call the dealership and see most likely

X2 The Blazer I am pretty sure came with a 4.3 Vortec. The tail on the crank is different than the LS crank. My buddy tried to put a trans in his S-10 that had the V-6 and I had to change the input shaft for him. The trans came out of a Camaro so had to take the old shaft out of his old trans and put it in the new one. Also the tc should seat 3 times. If you didn't get 3 then your problem is the input shaft.

You know your truck sounds good when cops ask you to get on it.
