Why didn't you just cut the pistons in the area in question? I'd sure be complaining to someone about having to cut/grind on either one for what one of those kits cost. I understand if you had to cut on the engine block for a little clearance for the 4" stroke but the piston/crank clearance should have been correct as purchased since they were designed to work with each other. You are using their rods, too, correct? That stuff is supposed to be a matched setup that just drops in is what I have read.

There is nothing on the shelf for the combo I have. The only thing of the shelf for my rotating assembly is the rods. The crank was clearanced for the pistons but they cut it with a smaller radius bit than the crank counterweight so it had two humps then went deeper in the middle. Yes I am not too happy with JE and EAGLE both of their products have been screwed up. I didnt have a choice in what to do. When grinding is necessary on a rotating assembly you need to grind on the heaviest thing tout the cause less of an unbalanced effect. Grinding on a 300 and something gram piston compared to a 60 pound crank is a big diff not to mention it is supported by the mains so its not as critical. In a perfect world if I had an extra 3-4 days it would be dropped off at the speed shop and get them to turn it and rebalance it but I dont have time for it and like I said I only ground about .02 off 4 counterwieghts 2 counterwieghts got .05 which is pushing needing to be balanced again but they are at the ends of the crank so it isnt so bad. This is by no means a recommended way to do this but Im planning on pulling the motor this summer anyway an punching it out to a 438 with a Lunati crank and wiseco pistons and hell fire rings then strap the new Whipple on there or a pt88 turbo in an sts kit so it will be fine for the time being and this truck is no longer my DD so its not so critical if the SOB falls apart after I get to TX oh well.
