    i have 23psi fuel pressure....help

i just put a walbro 255 in my truck, drove fine for a day now it sumbles and falls on its face above 3000 or above about 30% throttle.

do you think the problem is the pump or the Fuel pressure reg? i am running the 98 corvette filter with the regulator built in...

my first thought would be that i got a bad pump since it worked fine before i swapped pump, but before i pull the bed back off i thought i would ask ya'lls opinions

your hose between the pump and the steel tube must be leaking, that or you have the regulator hooked up backwards. From the pump to the large connection and the little hose returns to the fuel tank. The one fitting by itself goes to the fuel rail.

I'm betting it has to do with the hose as well...those seem to get messed up a lot...

Definatly the hose. When i had my Walbro installed the 100psi hose broke and was barely hanging on. Pull the pump out and check it, before you need a tow home...

everything else in the fuel system is the same as before and I haven't had prblems before I swapped the pumps and the only thing changed was the pump in the tank all lines between the tank and the fuel rail have been there for 3 months now with no problems since now.

Does it only have 23 with the pump running?

clamp the return hose from the regulator and turn the pump on for a couple of seconds. It should come up to ~60 psi. If your pressure stays at 60 after you turn the pump off you know it is the regulator letting too much by. If it never comes up to pressure, or comes up and then leaks it off quickly you have a problem with the pump, the hose in the tank to the pump, or a leaky or stuck injector.

Had that happen one time to me. I learned my lesson. I use fuel injection hose from oriellys and no more failures.
