Hey, Allen. Where did you see an engine with the water pump tapped on the top where the truck radiator outlet is?
I just can't remember, but that's a great idea. I was going to have a bung welded in my radiator so I'm not sure what route I'll take.
Now that I have a TIG welder coming...

    I'll try to remember.

    thanks,

Has anyone heard of any brand LT headers fitting into the 80s model OBS trucks for an LSx based motor? Ran into clearance issues with the 2264 Pacesetters I bought, and am looking for options.

Wiring... oh da joy of old-school harnesses (simplicity).

Wiring... oh da PITA of new school harnesses (complexity).

Just got back from bringing my youngest to the physician, minor cold symptoms. He's napping, and I decided to map out my old harness. Fell in love with the simplicity of it, no clutter. Took a glance at just the NBS engine harness, and said, "Oh, shizzznit!" That'll wait til later...

I'll be tickled pink when I do get it runnin'. I've still have purchase a longer driveshaft, gauge cluster kit, and swap the open carrier 2.73 back end. I still don't have an external fuel pump, fuel lines, radiator, e-fans, steering pump lines, and water lines. There's a lot left to do, but in due time, it'll get done. Still manage to keep my family life first. Ya'll know how it is.

Couple more pics... here ya go:

That 5.3L/4L60E sits there like it belongs there. Now, if only I can get a hold of some f-body manifolds/headers (w/o A.I.R. & EGR) to test fit. Anyone know of anyone or any place that might have a set for "not-a-lot-o-money"?

The truck and f-body seem to be the same, but the truck doesn't have that big EGR boss on the passenger side.
