Haven't put the headers on yet. I'll let you know. They say they only support a specific mounting plate. I believe it does move the engine 1" forward. I haven't decided yet for sure on the shifter. If I go the McLeod route, I'll let you know. I know what you mean about getting the parts list together.

Did the T56 mount in same place as 5sp? Did you do your own harness? I have a DBW(from 05) and DBC but am not sure which one to use. I do not know if all the DBW will work with any PCM.

Haha, yeah I think GM also put the 4L80E behind some 4.3s in vans and stuff, kinda unexpected.

The crossmember was used, but had to be relocated in the frame a few inches. The 5.7 LS1 came with a harness, but it was pretty ugly. I have a Nelson harness and programmed ECM.

I measured my drive shaft and it was 61". I found out the 14 bolt also uses a different U joint(1350) and 10 bolt uses a 1310. I understand you can buy a u joint with the two combined to hook the drive shaft to Rear end.

Well it took me a while to find my camera but here is a pic of the stock shifter location for comparison to one that has been relocated.

I bet you found the camera in the shoe. lol
Thanks, the picture gives an ideal how far it is back between seats and how McLeod shifter would help. I found a picture of what a guy did to incorporate his 6 sp shifter into the console.
