ya for sure. If anything, headers/bigger exhaust will hurt 60'. Will help 1/4, but not off the line.
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

i know i can pick up mph if i had bigger headers and exhaust, then possible pull the heads and have them reworked and swap to LS3 valves vs these heavy L92 heads. the 60' would either be reworked with a 3600 converter or a 50shot out the hole lol.

my WT needs a looser stall, so i may sell the 2800-3000 converter thats in it.

I'm only getting a 1.83 out of that same stall with my truck. It's not a high performance stall to be honest and it performs amazing as a daily driver stall that gives a bit more at the track. To get a better 60' you're going to give up some drivability over the 278mm stall. I would stick with Circle D if it were me...this budget stall has taken everything I can throw at it and gave me no trouble.

i need a looser stall either way. i know i can make up for the lack of stall by regearing the truck but im happy with these gears.
i run Circle D converters in my CC and my 94 W/T with a cammed 5.3 the only thing is the next converter is 750.00 and i cant see myself spending that kind of cash for a 12.8-12.9 pass. i can put the shot on it and get my 60' down but then i'll be putting a tranny in sooner than i want. i dont abuse my truck on a daily basis. i also noticed my bump stops were bottoming out. i do no tow anything with my truck. its lowered 2/3 and it still had 1-1.5" between the axle and the bump stop so that might be an upgrade. we'll see come tomorrow.

richard at WCCH said i can upgrade to 1 7/8" LTs with dual 3" exhaust w A H pipe or run 1 7/8" LTs with a 3.5" Y and 3.5" exhaust and itd flow very well even with stock heads. i think imma try a 3" electric cut out right at the Y so i can see what it does.

yep, from a 25 punch to 100. from a 40 punch he gets 1 1/2 trucks on me instantly but by 85 im at his front door coming on strong but we had to shut down bc of traffic. we're gonna try from a drig to 100 one day and see how bad it goes bc all i do is spin and he does too lol.

i just cut down my bump stops, and im adjusting my rev limiter on 1-2 and changing shifts on the 2-3.

his shifts to what i know are:
    1-2 6k
    2-3 6k
    3-4 6400
    4-5 6k
    5-6 6k
with those gears he'd out run me lmao. he's on a stock converter, stock 3:42s, and 20s

ohhhh ok. I was thinking he was full out with the tvs. I have a good friend here with practically the same truck, and a similar setup. so I was curious what the other guy was running. You have a strong truck though it seems. All in the setup.

nope just a Pat G spec'd cam, OBX LTs/ORy/magnaflow exhaust, LS3/7 TB, Truckshop tune, R TVS1900. he went 13.1@103 letting out. he's going back tonight and try for a 12.8-12.9 pass, so am i.

i have a lot more in mine than he does but i think its bc i dont have a big enough converter or exhaust set up. im happy with my truck though it just cant chase down 11sec cars on the street lmao.
