    Yeah make sure its still strong as jethro said, I guess i have been lucky, 110k and still kickin with no TM.

    Easiest way to find your rear axle ratio... go to dealer and give them VIN#, or # on rear diff tag. Or relatively painless, jack the rear and do the "counting driveshaft turns to one rear wheel revolution method (double for posi)."

    There's not a whole lot to enhance a 4.3's power, but removing TM and modifying shift points will feel like you modded the engine a bit, and you'll feel like you now have control of tranny shifts rather than the other way around. I had Allen remove all TM on mine.

    GT-4=3.73 GU-6 =3.42 / find a syclone/ typhoon turbo kit and maybe adapt it, that would be some cool power, gm hitec had a syclone 4.3 turbo ran 9.63 in qtr.
