The stock manifolds flow pretty decent for a stock motor, they are the same casting up through the 6.2L's that are making 400+ HP. . Why not try to get the motor up and running on them? They fit on my 93, I even had the 2004 y-pipe tucked up in there with a little clearancing on the left pipe to clear the frame. On my latest swap, the engine is sitting about 30mm further back, so making takedowns that clear the frame shouldn't be an issue.

thanks man!
Hey 93 ecss,
Here is my 2cents worth... Nelson did my harness for the stock 4L60E in my '94 Z-71. there is a lot of info out there saying the 1996 and older trannys won't work with the LS computers. My guess is that the first attempts at these conversions involved different LS computers than the ones we are seeing now. My computer is from a 2005 Silverado and Nelson did the harness and tune. Don't skip out on getting the tune... big bank for the buck.
Also, make sure you get the 1" offset motor adapters. These actually place the engine in the same spot as the old engine. Your transmission won't have to move 1 mm. My truck is really fast with the new engine. I can't believe the difference the tune makes.
Good luck,
Brian
Ok thanks! Also do i want the 1'' offset to set the motor back and inch or forward? I think ive seen them sold both ways.
