    yep had 3 on my lq4,i just pulled the motor and tranny out some and started drilling,used a 5/16th cobalt dewalt bit from lowes and it cut like a charm,use a smaller ease out,none gave me any problems,you also can drive in a torque bit and use a rachet

    anyone know if they are common to break?

    ya they break all the time. Sometimes without even touching the bolts. I see them in work all the time, where manifolds will start leaking cuz a bolt snapped.
    blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

    Are they breaking on modded engines, stock or both? I'm guessing it's just the heat that finally gets em?
    2010 Silverado ECSB LS 4x4. Only mods so far are a K&N drop in filter and a Rough Country 2" front level kit

    I see the studs broken on 6.0Ls all the time. Seems the back bolt on both sides is the first to go. My truck has the driver's side rear bolt broken off, doesn't leak so I haven't messed with it. I'll fix it when I do LTs.
